Visit us in historic Lansing, Iowa on the banks of the Mississippi River surrounded by inspiration.

In August 2015 we opened Easker Art Studio and Gallery in a newly renovated commercial building just two blocks from the Mississippi River. We are proud to be both participants in and beneficiaries of efforts by Main Street Lansing to revitalize the historic community. Lansing’s commercial district was recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

When we committed to renting the space, the badly neglected building was nearly beyond repair. The Benson family who had recently acquired the storefront worked with us and created a space that contains a small studio apartment and a great airy working studio space with room to exhibit our paintings, prints and collages. We’re finding it a great space to work and be and we’ve made a commitment that we will be at the Lansing location the first two weekends of each month and the week in-between. We most likely will be there at other times of the month, especially when the weather is warm.

We invite you to visit us in Lansing. The river is always beautiful and there are spectacular, unequaled views of it from Mt. Hosmer, named after 19th century sculptor Harriet Hosmer. The town has quirky shopping, quirky eating and interesting places to stay. Canoes and kayaks are available for renting. A new area interpretive center is under construction. Our hours are 10-5 Friday and Saturday the first two weekends of the month. Other times are available by appointment at 319-360.8274.
